"Since graduating with the Master of Counselling from Excelsia College I have gone on to develop a private practice as a counsellor. In addition I have worked for a non-government organisation providing counselling and facilitated groups at a private hospital catering for those with mood and anxiety disorders and addiction. My time at Excelsia College gave me an excellent grounding in the theory of counselling and also equipped my with many opportunities to develop my skills through practical experience in class and in the workplace. Excelsia College also taught me so much about how to integrate my faith and values with my work. Developing insight into ourselves is critical to being a good counsellor and Excelsia College gave me opportunities for self-reflection in a supportive and nurturing environment. I now hope to pass some of those skills onto my clients as they undertake their own their journeys."
