Music Courses

As well as a great line-up of teachers and industry experts, the Music Program offers performance, teaching and practice facilities ranging from small studios, purpose-built classrooms to technical laboratories and theatre spaces. In addition, at Excelsia College, teacher training can be combined with your course if you are interested in teaching music.

At Excelsia College, study music alongside our Drama School, in a Christian College that promotes a supportive and caring environment. Furthermore, as part of the program students undertake Integrative Studies, where students are encouraged to assess critically their own worldview, and to engage thoughtfully with the Christian worldview that undergirds all teaching and learning at Excelsia.

FEE-HELP is available for eligible students. Undergraduate courses also qualify for Youth Allowance, Austudy and Abstudy.

The Bachelor of Music provides students with the technical, artistic and analytical training required to become professional musicians. The course features private tuition with industry experts for voice and instrument studies and extensive performance and studio experience. Offering multiple performance genres, regular performance opportunities and a strong project emphasis, it is an industry-standard degree for aspiring musicians. At a glance:
  • Face to face (on-campus) delivery
  • Areas of study: Performance, Musicianship and Musicology, Support and Technical Studies, and Personal and Professional Development
Application for admission into the Bachelor of Music involves two steps:
  • Submission of an application: Educational requirements typically involve the successful completion of the NSW Higher School Certificate (or equivalent), or completion of other tertiary studies.
  • Interview and Audition (Includes musicianship skills testing)
