Performing Arts HSC Masterclasses: an invaluable opportunity for those about to embark in the HSC

Excelsia knows students have big ideas and we want to help them develop the skills to turn them into reality. The HSC Masterclasses’ are a valuable learning opportunity for those about to embark on the HSC performing arts examination process and gets students active by giving them the tools to create a dynamic performance.

The classes are aimed at Year 11 and 12 talented students wishing to go deeper into their craft and gain industry insights. The practical workshops give participants a head start in finding creative ways to tackle their own projects, mastering voice techniques, skills to working with ensemble and calming nerves before a performance.

Featuring highly acclaimed actor and performer, Jay Laga'aia, the Drama Masterclass will provide an opportunity for drama students to enhance their acting skills and direct them towards a stronger HSC result. Jay will share his expertise to assist young and emerging artists in honing their craft. Known for his role as Captain Typho in the Star Wars films, Home and Away, Water Rats and recently Jay’s Jungle, young actors will learn from Jay’s wealth of experience and skills.

The Music Masterclass is an invaluable learning experience for young musicians in the community. Run by experienced Music educator Suzanne Stein, the workshop gives artists the opportunity to attain knowledge, skills and inspiration from one of the best in the business. Suzanne has run her own music business and worked extensively in the Christian Education space, teaching K-12 Music. In her role as Creative Arts learning leader on the Central Coast, she has sucessfully taught students in HSC Music 1 and 2 courses.
